My Dear Friend,
When I was a kid my Mom used to hand sew prairie dresses with patterns from the Victorian age. My favorite one was a kind of Kate Greenaway red velvet dress with a calico pinafore and matching bonnet. The velvet was also lined with the calico inside. I was so sad to out grow this. As a teen the only way to find gothic lolita fashion was to wear black victorian mourning dresses, add lace and "lolitacise" 50's doll type dresses, and seek out certain gunne sax 70's dresses from Mormon thrift stores. Paper Doll Dreams - indiegogo.com
Paper Doll Dreams brings to life the whimsical, wonderful, fantastical world of Dame Darcy and her MEAT CAKE comic series. Gothic Lolita dresses cost a pretty penny, now own your dream dress for a penny! Combine all styles of Lolita, Nautical, Elegant, Country, Sweet, Gothic, Victorian, Rococo. For instance my favorite, Nautical+Gothic=Pirate. Own luxurious fantasy accessories, like a veil being held up by flying bats as you walk, or be a Cinderella Rockstar with a crystal guitar to match your slippers. Design your house the same way, then explore this fantasy world in your new look. Customize your fashion and home to make a whole new world, then play there with your friends and make new ones along the way. Paper Doll Dreams is the first online game and social community built around all styles of Lolita, including Gothic Lolita, Sweet, Aristoctrat and more. The game appeals to other DIY and independent girls as well. Users play games, solve puzzles, embark on quests, discover new houses/rooms, and more... As they play they earn points that allows them to customize their paper doll avatars and their paper doll world. In game virtual cabarets and spectacular events encourage users to chat and show off their paper doll avatars with paper doll costumes they have earned or purchased.
